Not making it.

Everything has to be about getting better, making more of an effort. I'm just trying to not go crazy, die in an accident, pass out or physically fail. I'm so sick and done with all that positive intention writing. Aren't we all?

Can we give a day, a principle, to just seeing how fucked up and hard shit in this world and life is getting?

Sure let's do that, let's make it today. So there, now, all that is true, it's not a lie, let's advocate that!

Hold on then. Is that, all that is true? Something being true does not mean it's the only truth. How far from depth are we sometimes. We are drawn into monotony in all the senses and applications of the word, and that's what is mainstream. The mainstream feeling is: -"we are so fucked so let's just have fun while we can"- or -"this is so fucked there is no point in saving it, let's then just have fun fucking it up more"-

Going mainstream seems like fun but turns out having fun raping others, killing then, deep inside, is not so fun, but it's easy to do since this killing and raping is systemic, there is no one directly involved in it, apparently, so everyone get's a chance to white-wash their hands. What's fun to me is being able to address this and in the hope you're having fun reading this, actually do something about it.

The idea of "the west" and its imposed societal development model is fueled by the ideology of white washing that lies behind hidden in this system of distraction and acquired de-humanization where the individual is apparently alive and well, but not acting in favor of what is human or to other humans. He/she believes some are dirty, or less, or evil, and for that, for their sins, or mistakes, or because they deserve it, they must suffer or die.

This genocidal theology is crucial to allow the system of today. Very ancient and well settled in place, to survive it must create new branches and facets. One of them is the fear of dirt and the cringe for a planet-less life, deprived from the natural-lesser world. An unavoidable destiny prophesized by the theme scenario, if not the script of every single movie ever made. Genocide continues and co-exists with us thanks to its technological adaptation and strategy. From this strategy comes the taking over the minds of those souls that still run the cosmos. If we are allowed to be convinced that there is no other scenario other than a dreadful extinction event apocalypse, then that will be the present we are lured into having fun with.

Convinced of the physicality and mechanical nature of this universe from where the idea of the impossibility of societal reform stems from, we're deprived of a true metaphysical plasticity where we more easily mold and shape life to what I find is a more fun reality: one filled with love, harmony, beauty, balance, nature and free from suffering, slavery, disease and unstoppable toxicity.

Tripping over the "oh shit we're fucked", "fuck it I'm done" and "I fucking hate it all" stones is definitely a must. Today's nawal is peculiarly open to that feeling and can be represented in time or in a reading as the moment that we quit or fail to make it. This is what makes us doubt of the animistic universe we live in. We gather all the ingredients, make the recipe as it should, make the right relationship. invest all that energy and time and at the end there is still some randomness factor and murphy's law bullshit that we simply cannot account for or get rid of. As our keen mind digs into the mysteries of earth and time (pachamama) trying to understand what is happening, we find extensive gold and gem mines of beautiful, elaborate and sense-making explanations. We then dig out these explanations and open markets where we sell these riches to each other.

Meanwhile the monkey of time is laughing his ass off seeing how we attempt at eat explanations of the unexplainable. Explanationism is the trap of clarity in Toltec training, the second enemy. Today's nawal reminds of this truly magical portal that is time where we simply cannot predict or expect anything. Really, all that science, all them planets, positions and forecasts can be rammed up your you know what. The only truth is that we don't know, but living in the we don't know is too cold of a place to be in. It is then that we soberly choose to just have fun, 'cause it's the only thing that makes perfect sense...

To be continued tomorrow...

Withdrawal in time.

Even though the planets continue to spin and time seemingly keeps passing, the sense of time and the reality from which it emanates occur only through our points of assemblage. This means that how time unfolds depends on our perception, not on something external. Today invites us and allows us to observe this phenomenon and to take advantage of it by giving ourselves a certain space or gap where we can exist without time passing externally in the same way. Some knot or leap manifests in the thread of the najt, allowing a return—to withdraw from time, to take a moment.

Within this space it is very easy to create images and forge illusions. It is our nature to do so, but today’s nawal wishes to teach us to place our imagination in silence, to try to listen. There is nothing to say, nothing to wait for; today is the rare b’aatz in which nothing will happen. On the contrary, only a space will make itself felt. If it is a matter of making use of it, you can use today to try to see through illusions and understand what lies behind something. Nothing is more revealing than emptiness and silence.

Withdrawal.

Part of playing the game of creation is reaching the moment when you wish to play no longer—when your game feels as though it is failing, and you wish to withdraw. Creativity is a spark that does not always sprout into the visible; it expands equally into the invisible. Knowing the code allows us to glimpse ahead of time, and a B'atz' day invites us to look closely at these counts and the coming future. An I'x trecena is approaching: a period where the eggs are fully developed and must be allowed to hatch. Stillness, emptiness, absence, and quiet... can you feel that we are out of the Zuvuya by now?

The intense, exciting twenty days give way to the rest of time. The field has been planted, and there is nothing more to do than to sit back and let it sprout and grow. In the quiet and peace, we can now discern which plants made it and which ones did not. Today we see the ants, the mole holes, and the many signs across the sections of our field that will not yield. This is precisely where we lose our excitement and feel the pull to quit the game.

Yet, if you do quit something, you are still actively creating. To undo, withdraw, and backtrack is always a valid part of the strategy. No game is won without cheating—even AI knows that. Laws are written to be broken, and sterile justice will not be served through them alone. If you choose not to quit, then hold the image and the vibe in a positive, playful tone as we navigate this creative release. We are not yet out of the trecena of the primordial sea of the creator; our creation must be tested, and you yourself must be tested if you intend to see your proposed creation through to its final form.

The Thread of Time / The Monkey / The Artist & Weaver / The Creative Play (B'atz') represents the primordial thread of time, the sacred monkey, the master weaver, playfulness, artistic creation, and the unspooling of destiny. It is the nawal of artisans, weavers, musicians, the monkey-god creators, and the cosmic loom that connects all timelines. In its eleventh position (Julajuj), it brings the force of resolution, evaluation, step-backs, and high-frequency refinement—acting as the ultimate station of testing, undoing knots, and deciding whether to hold the weave or unravel the thread to start anew.

To embody Eleven B'atz' is to recognize that creative authority includes the freedom to pause, pull back, and adjust the loom. It demands that you treat the friction of your life not as a tragic failure, but as a playful game where withdrawing or changing tactics is simply part of mastering the craft. At this eleventh, evaluative station of the wave, B'atz' takes the entity maturing through this trecena—conceived in Imox, voiced in Ik', tested in Ak'ab'al, structured in K'at, vitalized in K'an, given spirit in Keme, grounded in Kej, planted in Q'anil, purified in Toj, and given structure in Tz'i'—and puts its thread directly onto the loom of reality. It reminds us that whether we hold the pattern or unravel the weave, true mastery lies in maintaining the light, untamed spirit of the artist through every turn of the game.

In the Codex Borgia (Plate 11, top-right panel), the governing patron deity for the 11th day sign, Ozomatli (Monkey / corresponding to B'atz' in the Maya Cholq'ij), is Xochipilli ("Prince of Flowers").

1. Visual Depiction in Codex Borgia (Plate 11, Top-Right)

  • Position: Located in the upper-right register of Plate 11, continuing counter-clockwise from Itzcuintli (Dog) in the lower-left.

  • Iconography of Xochipilli:

    • Depicted painted in vibrant red and white facial tones, wearing the tonacachictli (flower crest) and elaborate butterfly or flower ornaments.

    • Adorned with fine jade beads, feather garlands, and holding instruments of song, music, or dance rattles (ayochtli).

    • Seated upon an ornate throne covered in cotton or woven cloths, surrounded by sprouting flowers and incense smoke.

  • The Day Glyph (Ozomatli): Positioned directly in front of or beside Xochipilli, showing the head of a playful, open-mouthed monkey wearing ear ornaments or a flower crown.

  • Mantic/Contextual Motifs: The panel includes musical flutes, drums, woven garments, and flower motifs—signaling the arts, craftsmanship, beauty, pleasure, and creative weave.

2. Analytical Overview of Ozomatli and Xochipilli

Ozomatli (The Monkey): Sign Dynamics

  • Sign Number: 11th Day Sign of the 260-day Tonalpohualli (corresponding to B'atz' / Chuen in the Maya calendar).

  • Primary Function: The primordial artisan, player, actor, and artist. In Mesoamerican lore, monkeys are survivors of the previous world era (the Wind Sun, Ehecatonatiuh) who were transformed into forest dwellers—retaining human agility, intelligence, and curiosity without human seriousness.

  • Structural Role: Ozomatli represents the unspooling of the creative thread, playfulness, agility of mind, lightness of spirit, and the ability to break rigid forms through art and humor.

Xochipilli (Prince of Flowers): Theological Mechanics

  • The Lord of In Xochitl, In Cuicatl ("Flower and Song"): Xochipilli governs poetry, music, dance, painting, weaving, game-playing, and sacred ecstasy.

  • The Master of Entheogens & Sensory Experience: He rules the flowering state of consciousness—the moment when perception opens up to beauty, harmony, and untamed joy.

  • The Creative Weaver: He is not merely a god of passive beauty; he is the active impulse that turns raw materials (threads, sounds, paints) into living art.
