Emotions weigh

Given into the flow of life and feeling, we are required to bridge heaven and earth, mind and body, with the bridge of the inner dialogue. We are required to trace the lines of our perceptions, speak the words of our beliefs, tend to the temples where the symbols of creation lay. The modern scientistic trap echoes the voice of false dichotomy, saying this is all belief, only matter matters. Worldview is crucial, like tending to our physical homes, we need to re-design our spiritual ones so they look more like homes or temples and less like prisons. The furniture of our childhood built with the materials of violent pasts needs to go. Renovation comes through the dedicated open hearted learning of the unknown, the allowance to spirit to show what we are to learn that we yet have not opened to and to the committed surrender to letting go of attachment, of yourself.

Today's nawal suggests paying attention to what we speak to ourselves. Emotions are created from our minds based on the neural wiring we have already created, the furniture we have refused to change and seek new one. We speak to ourselves the language we know, if we don't learn new words, new ideas, we cannot tell ourselves different stories. If we don't release energies through practices like Toltec training, we are stuck with the same parent within us telling us the same old scold. Reading this will be helpful too, hearing it from the voice and pulsation of time. It's time to rethink how we think, right in that moment when you are bitching about something, that is the moment when you can open the portal to the profound transformation. If this doesn't change, nothing ever will.

As you begin or continue this practice, you will feel lighter, you will tolerate your ambience being more quiet, your mind being more quiet, being alone will not scare you anymore. You will notice that emotions are just a product of our minds, when we tell ourselves the wrong things. It takes creativity and intelligence to connect the dots and tell yourself the right thing, and this intelligence is acquired through training and open minded learning. It takes a revolution inside you to break the continuance of your legacy, of the past, and be the first in your linage to not act that way, to not speak that way, to not treat yourself the same way and to not perceive creation in the same way. Your emotional mind can tell you: "why would I have to give something that I was never given?" and you can be stuck here for years. Until you are ready to understand that you have the power to give regardless of what you were given, you wont surface the drowning sea of emotional weight. Trying to avoid our emotions is what keeps them coming. Allow yourself to drown in your pain. Don't try to explain it. Old Faithful.

When we arrive at the eighth position of any trecena, we are reminded of the guide that led the cycle just before our current one—in this case, the Dog. The sequence of the Cholq'ij is one of gradual transcendence, where each succeeding wave acts as a complete revolution of the past. The Night of Ak'ab'al has shown us that to embark on a true journey and achieve our goals, we must embrace the transformation of our deepest beliefs. Today, however, as is the nature of the number eight, we are anchored back to the past trecena. We are grounded by the laws, loyalties, and structures that, though not fully transformed, have faithfully served and protected us on this evolutionary journey.

We are called once more to examine our inner systems from a place of equilibrium—to discern what remains good and useful, and what is finally ready to be changed. In this process, there is profound power in accepting what cannot currently be altered; by acknowledging these limits, we are liberated from the heavy, silent weight of carrying them as absolute, unspoken truths. Today's energy demands that we test the utility of our structures. The test is not a matter of opinion, but of practical application: observing what stands, what holds, what works, and what crumbles. Since the start of the previous trecena, we have had the opportunity to observe which emotions, beliefs, companions, and situations have remained faithfully by our side, and which have naturally moved on.

Laws and moral frameworks are, ultimately, imaginary lines that we faithfully uphold because they serve a temporary purpose. Like our emotions, they are designed to guide us through our immediate landscape, not to trap us within their sentiment. They exist to illuminate the path forward, offering the structure necessary to navigate the unknown, but they are never meant to be the destination itself.

Tz'i (Dog) represents the sacred law, unconditional loyalty, justice, and the spiritual authority born of true alignment. Tz'i is the nawal of the dog, the guardian of the path, instinctual faith, and the scribe who records our deeds in the material and spiritual realms.
