Acceptance

The heirs of a pre-diluvian civilization spawned a time of paradise on earth. Balance was the law and love the light. Naturality, diversity, flow and abundance was in harmony with intelligence and creativity, knowledge and its constructive use. Some temples rose to spread the love, draw attention, gather everyone and organize societies for the betterment of everything. The feathered serpent became the symbol, the entity that represented the evolution of the unorganized into organized and planned human communities. Its principle was unconditional love and this love required acceptance.

As it's natural, the sun shines and living beings take it, their gathering around produce shadows, and some fall in them and don't receive as much light as others. As is natural, a great good will produce an evil to challenge it. Love accepts the challenge and accepts evil. From this acceptance, gods and servants of the gods of darkness rose to great powers and great following.

In 1520 in Tenochtitlan, the feathered serpent legacy had survived and was the centerpiece of the temple monumental zone. Four layers high, it was one of the smallest pyramids, and was the only circled one, with a perishable hay roof on top. In front of it sat the massive Templo Mayor, a dual temple dedicated to the god of intent Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc, the god of rain. Every day the Quetzalcoatl priest would exit his small temple and see the bulky temple in front where human sacrifices were held (not in the way it was told by the Spanish) and where the imposition of the flowered wars came. Tezcatlipoca, the smoking mirror, enemy of Quetzalcoatl, had disguised himself as Huitzilopochtli and brought this great civilization to an end, as they would be completely unable to be resilient to a true, unmasked evil that soon came to end it all.

I let it sit, strain it and examine this acceptance over and over. Today I get the message, for our small lives, to have it, to make it the way. That was what Quetzalcoatl did, he accepted the great evil growing in front of him. When you have a family member that is negative, mistaken, you accept him/her. The way to flow around and not be obliterated by all the negative things spewing out of a technocratic system is to know them and accept them to be there. Yes we shall avoid being taken over, controlled, robbed and mistreated by it. And we will, and yet we will accept it being there. It's until the hurt kid finally feels accepted and accepts his/her fate that he/she can heal his/her inner wounds and stops bullying. We've come a long way for this to just quit.

Emotions weigh

Given into the flow of life and feeling, we are required to bridge heaven and earth, mind and body, with the bridge of the inner dialogue. We are required to trace the lines of our perceptions, speak the words of our beliefs, tend to the temples where the symbols of creation lay. The modern scientistic trap echoes the voice of false dichotomy, saying this is all belief, only matter matters. Worldview is crucial, like tending to our physical homes, we need to re-design our spiritual ones so they look more like homes or temples and less like prisons. The furniture of our childhood built with the materials of violent pasts needs to go. Renovation comes through the dedicated open hearted learning of the unknown, the allowance to spirit to show what we are to learn that we yet have not opened to and to the committed surrender to letting go of attachment, of yourself.

Today's nawal suggests paying attention to what we speak to ourselves. Emotions are created from our minds based on the neural wiring we have already created, the furniture we have refused to change and seek new one. We speak to ourselves the language we know, if we don't learn new words, new ideas, we cannot tell ourselves different stories. If we don't release energies through practices like Toltec training, we are stuck with the same parent within us telling us the same old scold. Reading this will be helpful too, hearing it from the voice and pulsation of time. It's time to rethink how we think, right in that moment when you are bitching about something, that is the moment when you can open the portal to the profound transformation. If this doesn't change, nothing ever will.

As you begin or continue this practice, you will feel lighter, you will tolerate your ambience being more quiet, your mind being more quiet, being alone will not scare you anymore. You will notice that emotions are just a product of our minds, when we tell ourselves the wrong things. It takes creativity and intelligence to connect the dots and tell yourself the right thing, and this intelligence is acquired through training and open minded learning. It takes a revolution inside you to break the continuance of your legacy, of the past, and be the first in your linage to not act that way, to not speak that way, to not treat yourself the same way and to not perceive creation in the same way. Your emotional mind can tell you: "why would I have to give something that I was never given?" and you can be stuck here for years. Until you are ready to understand that you have the power to give regardless of what you were given, you wont surface the drowning sea of emotional weight. Trying to avoid our emotions is what keeps them coming. Allow yourself to drown in your pain. Don't try to explain it. Once you have felt it, you can begin telling yourself what it is you feel, with a different language. Dry land is a beautiful place. You should come check it out.
