Cured

We might have taken it a little too far yesterday, or nowhere at all, and today we'll be cured of it. Impressions, like pyramids, are made to last, even if they don't last, the impression will. Same it is for our body and spirit, our likes, our loves. We do so much to go somewhere, we love something so much we finally get to see, and it's so little time, so short the time we get to live it. Life is like that, almost like if the picture you are taking, is what you came for. For some the impression can be too intense, to others, it barely describes the feeling it provokes. Of everything that has been showing and speaking this trecena, we are to make of it something today, at least an impression, something that will perdure it into memory. Write something, please, leave a mark of your spirit on this trecena, it's the trecena of your spirit, and today you're supposed to finalize that, finish your record, your soul today must be cured.

Attention.

Being a good wizard, and as a result, a good healer, is not about knowing many recipes or intellectually holding great amounts of knowledge. The main skill involved is being able to stalk yourself, your thoughts and your emotions and be able to observe them from a distance. A highly skilled jaguar does not successfully hunt because she lets herself loose on her impulses of hunger, jumping at every single critter that walks by. She knows that there is magic at play and she must wait her turn in the deck of chance.

More than chance, it's slots of time, of energy, that if we are able to refine our attention and perception, we might just be able to see this layer of spirit playing below the waters of our anxiety. Today's nawal marks the ending of the wind trecena showing us that spirit speaks only if we are quiet enough to listen to it.

Alone.

When we follow spirit—though rare as it seems to find such travelers in today's world—we are fiercely devoted to the message we were given and determined to see it through. Seeing through a mission as vast as the ones handed down by spirit requires a level of madness in the eyes of those who would much rather submit to the slave system and keep their expectations comfortably small. It takes a warrior to remain standing against everything that seeks to drag you down to a less significant destiny; thankfully, we are not the first to walk this path, and we can draw upon the deep wisdom left behind by those who preceded us.

The ultimate lesson for completing a life saturated with spirit is embracing the reality of being alone—knowing that, at the core, we are truly alone. Certain Toltec warriors would retreat into the mountains and spend the rest of their lives in total isolation because their energy had expanded to a degree where they could no longer tolerate being drained by others, nor could ordinary people bear the intensity of their presence. But that is not our path today; in this current shift, we are called to come together and, as spirit demands, break the spell of isolation and separation.

Yet, our awareness and spirit must still confront the ultimate apex—the maximum point of growth and consciousness—where we realize that even when surrounded by others, our spirit remains alone; our consciousness can only ever be held by ourselves. This test presents itself at every corner when we stalk ourselves out of the self-importance of assuming that whatever occurs happens because of us, or is somehow personal. We even fall into the trap of believing that spirit is actively targeting us—ensuring we receive what we need or punishing what we ignore—viewing cosmic order through a lens of personal importance that simply does not exist. It is nothing more than a mirage, born from our inability to sit in the silent emptiness of being alone in the universe.

And so, this solitude extends to the whole of humanity and life itself. Today's nawal acts as the healing blanket that is pulled away, forcing us to embrace the raw emptiness of our very nature. It delivers the unyielding lesson that no one is coming to save us. We are alone in this universe, and our only real choice is to stand up, live fully within it, and walk out of the maze—or remain in denial, waiting for a rescue that will never arrive.

I'x (Jaguar) represents the jaguar, the priestess, the shamanic altar, Mother Earth, unseen feminine power, stealth, magic, acute awareness, and the deep spirit of the mountain. I'x is the nawal of the jaguar warrior—the one who walks in the dark without fear, commands the subtle dimensions, and embodies the primordial power of the Earth. Paired with the ultimate, transcendent, and boundary-breaking frequency of the Number 13—the energy of Oxlajuj, representing the highest point of the trecena, the complete ascension of consciousness, spiritual mastery, closure, and the portal into the unknown—this sign brings the current cycle to its absolute peak.

To embody 13 Oxlajuj I'x is to stand atop the jaguar mountain, fully awake and unarmored, occupying the final, thirteenth position of the Iq’ trecena. As the wind of Iq' reaches its final crescendo through the jaguar's silent gaze, this energy calls you to strip away the illusion of cosmic centralism, face the vast silence of the universe without fear, and take total accountability for your own spirit as you complete this sacred cycle.
