Just like the wind, spirit is something that can be felt, heard, and presenced; it is essential to all of life. It can make you feel good with a soft breeze, destroy your home with the violence of a storm, or simply go unnoticed, invisible and apparently inexistent. As a vital element, it has been monetized by cultures that base their existence on this very principle: steal, conceal, and sell everything you can for a profit. Wind is not yet harvested and sold, but spirit is. It didn’t take long for spiritual lineages to be captured by kings who made of spirit an institutionalized religion—later even an empire—and with that, bottled the idea—and maybe even spirit itself—so it would not be available unless consumed from authorized dealers.
But this is all a lie, for spirit is there and is vital to anything and everything that is happening; simply, some may be choosing not to see it. Being the breath which animates flesh and matter—the cosmos—it’s easier to understand it and its intricacies—its mechanisms—than to contemplate the invisibility and futility of that which breathes it into existence: spirit. On a quiet day, any rational person can simply point out the evidence of its inexistence by showing that it cannot be seen, heard, or felt.
Rational minds that wish to be in control, however, are not the minds of those truly intelligent for spirit. There is a key difference: you can live a life where you completely disregard the invisible and spiritual—the true, non-bottled spiritual—or you can live it within that which can be understood and fully presenced, disregarding the origin from where it all comes from and goes back to. This second mindset is the effective way to move in this modern society, knowing spirit is forbidden, criminalized, and stigmatized; hearing and, worse yet, following its presence will certainly get you in trouble.
It is not spirit then that breathes this truth into existence, points the finger, or creates this situation; it’s the fact that we have the freedom to seal out spirit from the part of our minds that tells itself what it knows and believes. In this process, we can become part of the machinery that in a way seeks to expand this and keep this sealed chamber of apparent spirit-less existence: let’s call this evil. Almost no one is inherently evil, or does things because they want to play evil; in the pursuit of their personal interests, they occupy this artificial creation to their advantage, with the plausibility that others have the same freedom to fall under this sterile spell, or choose to be marked as weird and non-fitting.
The truly intelligent non-controlling mind—spirit—as soon as it becomes free from that land where it can all be understood, seeks to expand its horizon and understand that which is not explained, soon touching on the non-intuitive nature of a multidimensional cosmos. Modern machines can only verify this understanding: the fact that reality is broader and more complex than a third-dimensional space. A holistic mind encompasses the whole and touches with intuition that which is very real: light and matter are only a manifest section of a more expansive cosmos that exists not as a dead medium, but as a conscious being with spirit, seeking to experience itself through different stages of existence.
What keeps us alive then is not the energy we have or consume, and is not explained by biology alone; it’s the fact that we want to be here. There is a source for our personality and intent that is not mapped by any molecules or atoms—it is way more quantum, very visible and real, if you allow yourself the stigma of not being normal.
Entering a 1 Iq’ trecena can go two ways. The more common one, the normal one, is that eventually the wind, being very alive, decides to blow strong enough in your life so that you may notice it. Not just accept it is there, but actually hear what it has to say. To hear it, we must be stripped naked of all the layers that are made of plastic, of things created to block out spirit. To hear it is to allow our minds to be told they are wrong; this is effectively how spirit can guide our paths. If it’s just there to affirm any foolish notion or decision, then that’s not spirit—it is just the cerebral mind. To become sensitive to the language of spirit, it blows to all of those who are reticent to hear and embody it. It may just happen that the wind has to blow so hard it will topple things in your life; this is how this trecena may manifest.
The other way it may manifest, if you are one of the weirdos, is the appearance of a clear message or messenger. This can only happen when you have allowed yourself to be exiled from modern society and put outside of what is considered sane and normal. Careful though: this last decade, technocratic society has cleverly created niches of accepted weirdos, tags and etiquettes that define and bottle those who simply cannot fit in the norm, capturing them in a space where they won’t be hearing spirit either.
Being free is accepting solitude; there is no way around that. But it’s a superficial way to call it solitude. As spirit will eventually show, true solitude comes from being in this encapsulating society where we are all disconnected and unable to show ourselves as we truly are or want to be. Embracing freedom will leave us wandering with our own thoughts, facing the quiet world that lies outside the mouth of the mind that never shuts up. At first it is challenging, but then your being gets used to the quiet and realizes it’s not so quiet—it’s filled with the sounds of birds, insects, and the whispers of spirits that inhabit this world. Once here, you won’t feel lonely anymore; you will now desire that others may too join the freedom, but you will understand that only they can choose that, and that going back to where they are is not really a choice.
Iq’ (wind) represents the cosmic breath, the vital wind, the sacred word, communication, inspiration, and the spirit (Anima) that animates physical reality. It is the nawal of the respiratory system, divine messengers, and the fierce winds of change that clear away stagnation and illusion. Paired with the initial, primordial frequency of the Number 1—the energy of Jun, symbolizing origin, the initial spark, unity, and the seeding of the new cycle—this sign opens a 13-day period dedicated to aligning human intent with the breath of the cosmos and stripping away artificial barriers.
To embody 1 Iq’ is to open your lungs and soul to the raw force of truth, allowing it to move without attempting to contain or domesticate it. As the anchor of this new trecena, this energy invites you to shed plastic defenses, tune into the subtle whispers around you, and allow the wind to clear your course—reminding you that authentic freedom is found not in isolation, but in conscious connection with the living breath of existence.
