Training your awareness to flow like water

During the whole video shoot I was unable to come up with the word that I much rather have used: awareness. It’s in fact a word that does not exist in Spanish, attention, awareness, what is the difference? If we think in nawatl, ilnamikilia would be like thinking and remembering and tlamachilia would be like feeling, but also knowing and liking. Isn’t language a beauty, it draws lines that otherwise wouldn’t be there. In this sense, all is a flow of information, and we can harness the fact that through our ability to give it our attention, we channel it into our soul, or love, we exist, in fact.
A life we have made of human made lines, texts, screens, bites, languages, stories, beliefs, cults and so on, have distracted our attention from the natural flow of nature, where progress can be more simple. Funny it is to think that the alienation from this simplicity we have called progress, and that that pride, is what keeps us on the edge of falling from the man-made precipice.
The exercise of water attention described in the video is something very worthy of practice. Toltec practitioners would go into nature to live, where they would often visit rivers, streams and waterfalls, and there would develop the most amazing powers and prowess of the harnessing of their attention with the help of water. When skilled, the nawals would be able to even bend gravity to their advantage, doing impossible jumps and movements on top of stones inside rivers.
