Se Acatl's greatest companion was his own shadow. Did we ever hear about him living love? The love of a two person sexual relationship? Why was his mother pregnant by means of a missed arrow? As undesirable as this may be, or even doubious, its message is that there is a life, a part of our souls, when we walked alone. We grew light, to fly and elevate, and learn from the elevated state of being.
This however is not the only state of being, or "the most valuable", as there is no single most valuable. It's a necessary part of the whole, a very singular one, but there is, a lot more to it. Se acatl finished his journey in mesoamerica embarking on an exile, failing to leave his legacy, tripping over the naive part of his elevated state. To every greatness, to every step bieng done, there will be a shadow, a process that must occur, a reaction. Today is a reminder of the sweet feminine companionship that getting to know this shadow can be.

In the path to deconstructing a civilizational jail, we will encounter the "lines" and the "borders". We will realize how imaginary they are, yet real and necessary for those who exercise violence and domination. Fragmentation is achieved through drawing these lines, so in a path of awakening, where we approach the mystical animistic understanding of the cosmos, we are exposed to the fakeness of these lines, and how interconnected and not separated things are. Wanting to heal from the separation, we learn to identify the borders, the lines, the tags, as creations from the system of domination and develop ways to, if not erase them, not identify with them.
But this too, can grow unbalanced. In the attempt to be transformative, we might loose sight of a fine lining that can very much exist. The thick borders are product of a bad spell, and so we tend to think that if we overcome shadow magic, we will find a world where there are no thin separations, but there are. Today's nawal has spoken to me to share about this, as hopefully you will tune to the magic of finding this silver lining.

Within us, and within everything, there is always an opposing force, a reflection and contrast of the energy that is being projected. Today's jaguar teaches us to harness this to our own advantage, to understand the dual nature of ourselves and of the universe. If we get carried away by the illusion that we are a single being, we will suffer from the lack of our other selves, and we will suffer the opposition presented by what we will think is god or some external force; we may even project this shadow onto someone else, in our minds.
But sacred, mystical, hidden knowledge is key like in the Toltec legacy, where we are taught to understand that we are two beings, not one. Any intention and action you set out to do will encounter, in your mind, questioning. This is our inner reflection, our inner opposing force that is there to make sure we understand what we are doing and make sure we want to do what we are doing. This reflection help us see all the outcomes, it helps us create scenarios of possible failures, it can instruct us to all the different effects and feedbacks we may get when taking an action.
This inner opposing force is in fact our chess strategist. Don't let it run your life, but don't let it ruin your day. Let him point out the possible negative outcomes, but remember that it is initially your intention, and that you are committed. Embrace him/her like you embrace the day, and you will embrace any situation and turn it into your field of winning.
