Reading for the trecena of Eb, The path.

The storm swept through the land, taking trees, flooding valleys, rivers; taking homes, people, animals; killing as it brought life. Once passed, cry was left. But not this time, time tells better. This time the cleanse the storm brought is welcome. New species can now make their homes, pests and overwhelming critters, are gone. The sun is shining and it’s a bright new day. You are now alone, homeless, broken or weakened, but at least the storm is gone, and with what it took, it will bring many new bright futures. Having less you are better able to understand yourself and the trecena invites us to do just this. It is now just you, stripped from others and from clothes that you used to arrogantly wear. Without the distraction of what was taken by the storm, you are more able to focus on how you are taking it and how to take it better. What it was, what you are and most importantly, what you want. This time though, what you want must take a new meaning. The human nawal invites us to this type of wise humbling. This is the road, this is life, and it will give something like what you want, what you sow and harvest, and that’s not what you think you want and masturbate to in your mind when you intend to manifest. Being on the path requires being creative, making a living, which means looking at the point you are at and quitting thinking that just believing will get you to that so dearly desired princess castle. It might take longer, it may appear in a different shape, more true, more real; and it will happen way differently to how you think it will. If we are not willing to get moving, get walking, loosing all of our shit and even our loved ones, then we might just drown where we are.
Knowing yourself better means being willing to strip naked and cleansing those wounds you are so terrified to look at. Others will just cover it, only you can reach deep enough and know that very limit where the decayed touches the living flesh. Blaming the weather or the critter that during the storm stung you will not heal the wound. The wound is old, and we all have it. The road trecena should be a good one, because if we listen and learn from time, then we should be underway to be healed already. That’s the biggest challenge of all, taking the first step, and storm helped. The road invites us to take this time now to understand ourselves from after the surgery. It is the healing process in the sense of recovery, of walking away from what was ill, of reaching a new state of homeostasis. The human, the road, is long, wise, and full of very valuable treasures. Allow yourself to find a chest each day, opening you heart with each sunrise and sundown, woth every turn of a knob, at every task and very importantly, with every word you say. Find a better way to say it, one that comes from the grown man or woman you now are. Find the thrill of actually starting fresh, being different, daring to grow.
The path invites us to take a look at our craft and understand our life from it. We get what we are good for, we are worth what we are able to give. We are as good as what we create with our hands, our words, our doing. Getting better at every single thing you do and learning the things you need to learn and still haven’t done so, is what you should focus on the coming thirteen days. Life may have taken things away from you, but crying is not going to bring them back. You are still able to create, and that’s the only real measure of life, life is only the path. Not the walker, not the destination, but every experience picked up and every skill aquired, and every gift that is possible to leave on this world. That is what we should value and treasure, along with the ride, they are the only two things there are, what we take with us from this world and we are able to leave in it.
