8 B'aatz

Initiation

An initiation is not when something begins, it's when something that is not here and we want, continues to manifest in time so we can begin to allow it to be here, to come into existence. Now I continue to begin to understand why today is celebrated as the beginning of the Chol qu'ij calendar and not on the beginning of it, 20 days ago, the Jun B'aatz day.

Great things are on their way, and we have finally jumped timelines to make something great happen. I was feeling great yesterday, but last night, I had to face the most terrible energies, entities, feelings and dreams. Where they came from or why they appeared, I am yet to find out. But I see the relation with time, with the fact that we are properly manifesting this initiation of humanity into a new timeline. That should be exciting and we are surrounded by the light, but we are also going to go into full darkness. What will happen with the world this year, on this Chol Qu'ij cycle, is kind of dark. We really are in for a troublesome year, not for us, but for the world that must continue to undress from the sheets of the no longer tolerable and enter into a stage of true evolution. This all begins today.

Join me in this remembrance and prayer. As a symbolic initiation of your knowing and counting of the days. Let's connect with the Mayan elders of the Guatemalan Highlands by lighting a candle and saluting the four directions. Let's gather in this time and moment, to begin the path towards the completion of the great cycle.

The impossible quest for initial causality

We are here gathered to celebrate along with thousands of Mayans in the maya lands, the celebration of the Waxkxak'ib b'aatz, the day that the Chol qu'ij sacred count is celebrated. Twenty days after the Jun B'aatz, the day when the count actually begins, the number eight spells enough integrity to actually understand what we are doing and what are we celebrating.

This title is kind of like a thesis, one that I have barely a few minutes to write here with you. Like most advices given here, they are not really of my making, the work here for me is to be a channel to the messages that come from the great mind. I was very thrilled as these words came through when I was seeking today's message. Very much like the other best messages, the title is self explanatory, it can be dragged onto details and examples, but it pretty much contains it all.

We are caught in two webs, one that holds the fabric of creation, and the other of our own artificial making, quite literally the world wide web. From the first there is no escape, from the second there is. Every single hint, day, advice, is a piece that brings us closer to that, there is no other progress possible. Time is conscious and it's taking us somewhere, it's not a clock that simply marks certain moods and events that come in a repeating cycle that has no meaning. That is the hardest thing to understand about the mesoamerican calendars, and probably any other mystic calendars, is that they are not marking anything, they are a  map to the expansion of the consciousness, and in these times, that means untangling ourselves from the www.

Yesterday's nawal taught us that we cannot attach mind expectations to the heart, that any guideline is to be broken, and we cannot think that breaking them is breaking the heart. The heart knows better and if we allow it, it can find the way better than our minds. That ties into today's advice of the impossible quests for meaning and understanding. Explanationism cannot be what brings us together. I am still to ask, and I feel with my heart the answer will come in the coming days: why are we so attracted to finding the cause of phenomena, why is it something we as humans are willing to invest all of our lives in, all of our time and energy? Why are we so attached to having to find a single cause for what we experience? Are we trying to artificially create it? Because it could be that there is none. I myself have found my mind trapped into extensive journeys of research of the answers to why. Today's nawal has brought me as close as I have been to the answer, and the answer is the deep mystical nature of today, no wonder they chose this day to celebrate the whole cycle. Deep down, you are what creates the universe, not in the way that you shallowly choose to say whatever, but in the way that you choose to dig into the truth and into understanding the nature of our lives and creation, and find answers. One answer takes you to the next, you dig deeper, and you can spend your life doing that. Each answer is a marvelous treasure, but that is incomplete, there is always a why behind it.

If we were to understand that at the bottom lies a wakxak'ib b'aatz, then maybe our quest could be over and we can harness the power of that and start using this knowledge to build a better world, a more loving community. It's what follows after you have chosen the path of the heart.

Rules.

Initial causality is simple: the game we play and perceive as the unfolding of time is the direct response to an initial intent to experience beingness. The temporal aspect—the narrow slice of now we find ourselves trapped in by the web of our Great Mother—is a cosmic limit that dampens the initial light of consciousness. Yet, this limit allows that very light to surge again, mimicking the sun we watch being born and dying every single day. Eternity became boring to us, so we chose to experience temporality, and this temporality manifests as an unyielding set of rules.

In this temporal creation, some rules can be bent, but they cannot truly be broken. This distinguishes the cosmic game from the petty games we play within our temporary lives here on Earth. Wajxaqib' B'aatz' is highly respected and celebrated as the most significant of all the 260 nawal frequencies because he allows us to decipher and reveal these mysteries with immense clarity—provided, of course, that one operates under the direct guidance of an Ajq'ij.

The Monkey is the ultimate representation of this energy, as playful ingenuity is the very source of our humanity; fundamentally, we are nothing more than naked monkeys. Play and fun are the exact reasons we chose to create this physical plane in the first place, meaning you must recognize that everything is a game—albeit a very serious one. However, the moment a game stops being fun, it loses all purpose and meaning, transforming into something recyclable. This is the precise magic we reveal: nothing here lasts forever. Remaining at the center and caring for too long can eventually become tedious, and when it does, it turns harmful.

The guardian dog becomes authoritarian when it desperately seeks to control everything within a strict, fabricated order. To maintain this illusion, it invents rules. But rules belong strictly to the realm of B'aatz'; the dog does not get to watch over the boundary forever. The mother wolf raises the pack only until they are ready to venture out on their own. Once they leave, they find themselves in a new territory—one where entirely different rules are made. Rules are what allow this game to exist. Yet, as we wander away from the true territory of humanity, we construct towering monuments of sketchy legislation and laws, created solely to police ourselves out of a deep fear that we are fundamentally lost. We live slave lives so that criminals can legislate insane laws, which other enslaved and violated individuals will then impose upon us with guns and pepper spray.

We are currently playing the game of having lost our center. You can choose to play along by building towers to keep us trapped there, or you can allow yourself to break free and fall to where gravity inevitably pulls us back. If you are fortunate enough to experience this fall, the light will reveal that beyond the rules of time and space—the ones that can be bent but never broken—lay the synthetic rules we, as inhumans, manufacture in our desperate attempt to keep from falling back into a humanity we fiercely fear. You will likely die trying to prevent yourself from falling back into sanity, clinging white-knuckled to the walls of structures and rules designed to keep you trapped in fear and darkness. Today's nawal reveals that what you are holding onto is purely imaginary. The rules you view as crucial, and the state of moral righteousness you believe you have achieved, exist only in your imagination. They are merely the rules we create to play our monkey games—and games are all they will ever be.

The Monkey/The Thread (B'aatz / Chuen) represents the monkey, the thread of time, creation, destiny, the arts, and the master weaver of reality. It is the nawal of the cosmic artists, the beginning of life, and the sacred calendar itself, though it can manifest as superficial trickery, destructive mockery, or an inability to take life seriously if its potent energy is misused. In its eighth position (Wajxaqib'), it carries the foundational, highly spiritual frequency of the number eight. Eight represents the completion of a minor cycle, the infinity loop, justice, and the precise point of spiritual resurrection where past experience crystallized into absolute wisdom. Wajxaqib' B'aatz' is traditionally celebrated as the Maya New Year, marking the ultimate resetting of the cosmic loom.

To embody Eight B'aatz' is to master the conscious weaving of your own destiny. The rigid, balancing law of yesterday's Wolf energy has evolved today into the ultimate creative authority. Sitting at the high, celebratory threshold of the number eight, this nawal does not ask you to conform to the synthetic, fear-based rules of a broken society. It demands that you realize you are the master artisan of your reality, holding the thread of time directly in your hands. Do not allow the imaginary laws of the matrix to dictate your boundaries or steal your joy. Use the playful, ingenious, and infinitely wise lens of the Monkey today to laugh at the structures that attempt to bind you, dissolve your false moral righteousness, and weave a life rooted in genuine spiritual freedom. The cosmic loom is reset today; drop your illusions, play the game masterfully, and rewrite the rules of your creation.
