The inexorable mutability of time and life compels us toward an unending pursuit for stillness, a desire to pause reality and take a still of it so that we can actually appreciate it. No wonder we have been caught by photography, cameras and the inexplicable and relentless desire to capture and store everything we experience in as big as a database as we can fathom. In the recent past it was in wood, clay and rock, paper and cloth; today we continue to store our memories in silica.
Seems fair, almost necessary. We have an unstoppable capability of distilling reality from its intrinsic nature to hide its inner workings and we get drunk on the schnapps of our extensive assignment of meaning. We get off on explaining, understanding and manipulating this world, in an attempt to go back to that state of creation we were once part of but that is quite no longer the same.
Exploiting this is how we’ve been sequestered from our full potential and even our entelechy to be put into recreated realities that function as simplified entertainment versions of the world, effectively taking us out of the world. The Q’aniil nawal is partly responsible for this happening. As an entity of concretion, re-creation and ec-static distillment, some have been devoured by its dark shadow, the monstruous naked xolotl that drags the chains of crudity and deformation. The rot is so great that it has irremediably dragged everyone into it. You might find yourself in this trecena celebrating, dancing and having a good time, playing to the beat of the party. When doing so you might just wonder: what are we celebrating?
The unchecked desire to participate in the fixation, magnification and broadcast of the stills of our lives, as if they were the only real images, coerces us into assisting to the celebration of this fixation. Take a good look and print an image of what it is because soon it will be no longer. In the past, the will to fixate did not outcast what was being fixated—life. Technology was very much smart and alive, it served to reproduce, balance and invigorate the natural cycles, nature and living organisms. Today, everything we celebrate exists on the basis of consuming life and the natural, it no longer reproduces it. In this sense, modern technology is by no means smart, it is pulling the rug right from underneath us, leaving us to the abyss of disbalance—a state of mortal toxicity.
To those unable to sober up, this vortex of doom is irremediable. With all of us caught in their party, they have decided to light the match on the gas leak, hoping to harvest a little more ash than those they think are against them, the same assistants to the VIP lounge at their party, on the other side of the room. Today’s nawal as the beginning of the trecena shows us and initiates this party, the party of the final days. As the trecena progresses, more and more deceptions will become evident. We will see how purposedly today’s geopolitical scenario is not labeled WW3, even if it has all the elements to be considered a world war. Labels, names and categorizations—this distilled language we drink so much— will become what it is: not food, not a faithful representamen of the object, rather a shameless mask that makes the crime operable. As many more are hit by the shit coming from the fan, helping them open their eyes, they will be doing so only to see that the shit is the least worse of it. The room is burning and there is nothing more to do than to just celebrate it and try to enjoy as hell lights up the party.
I would have liked to end the reading there, but yesterday taught us that what matters is how we end things. Today is the beginning of something, and so we must do that, the few that come read this surely are not the ones unable to sober up from the party of doom. This is a prized treasure in you hands, and you must be very conscious about what you will do with it. It’s easier to toss it. Normally this would still work, an abandoned seed has some hopes of finding a future amidst the warmth, humidity and fertility of the earth. But this time the floor is burning, and whatever you have and lies in your hands, whatever bit of love and consciousness you possess, will be a crucial piece of what will sprout once the blaze has passed.
With this I will burden you advising to pay very much attention to what it is that you will seed today and the coming days, and overall in your life. Rethink what you are worth and stop being another clown at the party. Water and take care of yourself so that you might push through this time, survive the onslaught and be there for when you will be important. You already are, change occurs when you choose to. This coming into our true consciousness, our true value, our true spirit, our true and full potential, is in the same manner this croc that lays in the bottom of the party waters trying to be as still as it can. If we can just stop for a minute and really grasp what we are; if we can achieve that stillness and see the universe in a more honest image, we might just be in it for the most awaited surprise of all, that of thriving beyond the passing shadow and not ending with it. The player board is laid in a way that we cannot be distracted by small kills. We must get ready for swallowing it all.
Is the passing on of your seed of life really a priority, is it a real part of your agenda an daily habit, or is “spirituality”, “consciousness” and “wisdom”—gnosis—just another product of consumption and entertainment? a dress you wear to feel prettier, feel better or alleviate the hangover of the party? By tomorrow, a cleanse will be required. Next, we will be judged. You will be judged based on what you do, seed and decide for today. Did you stop and sow this into your life, or is it part now of the unaffordable luxury of memory?
Q’aniil teaches us about the caring for potential, that even if conditions make so that we are kept small and seemingly insignificant, inside of us resides the potential to expand and become the legacy trees in the forest. If wrapped by this purpose, whatever it is that we crystallize and distill from life, our written, audible and visual legacy, carries potential that is unaccounted for. We are still to shift back to a true economy, so be mindful about your investments, try to make them in things that grow and are alive. Try to not thin yourself out and stay wholesome and strong, even if it means trading assets for wellbeing. This is the time to make the bets and go for the jackpot, or leave while still winning.
Preservation is crucial and so not everything can I reveal for you here today. You will have to accompany the readings every day as each one of the nawals unfolds the story of the Jun Q’aniil trecena.
