Toltec Training

Not enough time and dedication is given to an art practiced today that opens the portal to reach unimagined power and freedom. Modern Toltec practice has been made easily available and understood to all thanks to best-selling authors, yet their success lies in keeping the training shallow and students dependent. Our aim with this training course is to change that.

Toltec Nagual training is an art hidden from mainstream views and modern officialized living. It parts from an understanding of the world that puts all beliefs in question and prepares the practitioner for actual knowing: the exercise of power; power to reach clarity, understanding and to surpass all barriers that keep him/her from reaching freedom.

Comparable and compatible with other cultures’ self-development practices like Buddhism and Taoism, Toltec training thrives beyond from the absence of official temples and institutions to support it. It is a rebellious practice born from the heart of indigenous Mesoamerican native people, who are the bearers of the mother Toltec culture, wisdom and arts.

From here, practitioners of modern Toltec practice have based their knowldge and embarked on a quest for even greater freedom allowing themselves to become detached from the limitations brought by the strict belonging to specific native nations and traditions and reach levels of understanding and practice of healing power that could not be possible without this detachment. 

For Julian Katari, Toltec training has been a center piece for his self-empowerment, healing and the development of the circle of medicine. Without it, he feels he might have lost the path a long time ago. Yet, he makes clear that a stand-alone Toltec training based on modern practitioners without a strong connection with native nations, wisdom and legacies of other cultures in the America’s, is dangerous. It has to be a main part of you but not the only one. One must be careful that it doesn’t become your only interpretation of the universe, only a tool for it that can bring a more empowered level of practice and understanding.

That’s why it’s called training, in this course we speak of practice, we are focused on it, on seeing advancement, not in the lecturing of ideas, sets fo knowledge and beliefs.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Following the fluidity of the nagual, this course is intended to guide practitioners through a first level of introduction to Toltec arts and practice. It’s intended to facilitate given lectures through recordings which are complimented by the Toltec Training Logbook, a guidebook desgined to outline the teachings and suggest a series of exercises of which the practitioner is to write down the results and learnings from them. Like a journal or diary, this book is designed to facilite the practitioner a place where to log results and to read from them, giving him/her a “mirror image” of himself/herself and to outline and guide the extensive Toltec practice of recapitulation.

Then, the course will have programed group live gatherings where feedback can be shared and questions asked amongst the participants. According to the results of these live sessions and as the advancement of the group unfolds, is that the course will go on to the next level. 

This course begun live in the recent Toltec Fire Initiation in Teotihuacan. The first recorded lectures come from this presential gathering and initiation and the participants of that journey are considered standing practitioners and members of this course community. Not being enough time for a more thorough introduction to Toltec practice, the intention of this online course is to give that continuation and to allow an indefinite guided and accompanied training of the Toltec arts.
