Jun Imox - Keep it within

A day like today is infested with intentions, things to do and requests to meet. The energy is there to fullfill them all and much in the same tune, readings for a day and a combination like today are as abundant as there are little fish and critters in a lake. We are at the center of the Chol Qu'ij, in the middle, and that manifests as a great beginning.

We finished the Q'aniil trecena yesterday with a summoning and an understanding that beyond everything, we are in the hands and in the mercy of something greater than us. It doesn't have to be a divinity or a power, many times we too require the approval and good will coming from other actors, many times small, but still external, still beyond our capacity to control. From past readings and again reinforced by the confidence required by the Ajpuu, we were told to set out and intent something. Today is the day we seed the intent and start caring for it, proving that it was in fact our intent and we are going to feed it until it's ready to hatch, today we lay our fertilized egg of creation. Spirits are always on the lookout of this, it's the language of life. When something wants to be, it keeps trying, it keeps feeding itself, it's how they distinguish an impulsive capricious prayer from a real life intention and necessity, the latter to which they will answer to.

With this image of the egg in mind, we embark onto the reading and the message for today and for the coming thirteen days. As big and abundant as an Imox is, this one, even if it's the leader of itself (Number one numerals don't have another sign to guide them but their own), shows as something small, packed, contained, like an egg. You may meet natives with this unique combination and see that differently to other Imox natives who can be large and a little maybe not ugly but "original", this one is actually quite petite and cute.

In the same manner the energy today is centered on the small things, the power concentrates on the little. If you summoned something yesterday, today is the day you have to be careful not to break it. Like when we have sex with someone new, once the act is over, the next day you feel a little regret or worry that it might not be the best person for you or that you don't really like them that much. The same thing can happen with your summoning, and if it does, it's a good sign, it means it's alive. You must not give in to the fear or rejection to this feeling of having created something new and treat it with love and care. This is the love test of the Imox. Just like alligators, they are huge, heavy, rough, sharp and deadly, yet when it comes to taking care of the eggs and the hatchlings, they can be the softest and delicate most of all creatures.

As an advice from today's nawal is that we learn to harness power by allowing it to grow inside of us and not releasing it prematurely. This means that many times we have projects, ideas and suspicions that we are so excited about that we tend to put it out there before time. It's like cracking an egg instead of letting it hatch; what would you rather have, just one egg, or a full creature that will give you more eggs? This advice also shows us that we tend to open our mouths when we shouldn't. We are eager to share things that if we really appreciate them, we should not. This doesn't mean that it wont grow, on the contrary it's the way to make it grow. Doing this is a challenge and takes skill. This is a delicate ability that can be developed if you are willing to follow the advice of time and the nawals of the Chol Qu'ij. Our intent is strong and keeping it inside of us, when it wants to come out, is really hard. Catch yourself doing it and think, what if, I hold it a little longer. When it's ready, like the egg, it will come outside on its own, you won't need to force it. Timing is the greatest art that touches everything we do. No cook is good if he doesn't have the skill of timing, of knowing when something is cooked at its sweet spot.

Allow yourself today and these thirteen days to stalk yourself into seeing how something you want to create, is being created as you hold it inside. The energy is brewing and the fact that you don't tell anyone or do anything, means that it's not growing. As it is channeled and caressed internally, it connects through the inner world and pushes the intent to manifest from the outer. You push the world to act and reach out to your desire instead of you reaching out for your desire prematurely on your own. There is an art in this and we are invited to learn it. In this art, greater knowledge and skill is acquired from the outside as we stow our eggs in our inner nest. This is the art of feeding your intent. Instead of acting on it with the little knowledge you have, you actively seek out to learn more and allow the world to show you what can be improved in your art and skill so that this intent can manifest. The more you feed it, the more it will grow and come out on it's own, ready to surprise you.

¡Aloha!
