7 Kaan

Fathoming your load

What we understand, see and hear, are our own words, filters and projections. Creation created itself from itself. It desired something, imagined it and then wacked it into being. Everything that is is a load from what it imagined it. We are all walking creations of our parent's good "___job". Reality is not free from your desires, and right now, you are someone's.

The goddess chicomecoatl of the Huastecs is the applied wisdom of today's nahual. The greatest creation is the seven nutritious staple foods that feed us. There is a deep secret of knowledge that trails from here.

Know snake

Mother nature teaches us about balance; its wealth, abundance and diversity is based on it. Balance means thick, green forests, and barren, dry deserts. One allows the other, like we know, we observe the winds blowing the Saharan sands across the ocean and making the amazon viable. This means, for us walking creatures, that we are at one moment in one place. The mountain crag is harshly swept by the chilling wind, baked under the scorching sun, even moss stays off it. Sometimes that's the place we get to be. From scarcity and harshness, comes a great wisdom. Growth is brought by challenge, understanding from patience, joy from healed disease. Loosing nature is what should worry you, coming back to it, what should excite you.

From nature come the codes that ancient cultures practiced and depicted. The human currently raised by computers, where all his knowledge is transmitted through books, paper and digital, will have a hard time understanding the codes, and will carry on mistranslating them, fathoming something they are not. Those codes speak of our very inner nature, our inner sun, the home of our tonal, the only home there is. All this physicality, the inescapable nature we experience takes us towards its sublime teaching about the origin, us, our attention, our memory, our consciousness. What you want to see is what will be made. The pieces of the world, the chapters of the story of your book, can be rearranged to fit what you choose to wish and believe at this prime moment. Reality is only what you will make of it.

Modulate.

Today's snake is sexy, and we need to be. From the cool pit of deep meditation to the burning surface of the upper deck, we need to understand today that there is no balance, no completion, no life, and no fun in sticking with a personality, a place, or a creed; we need to swing, expand, travel, explore, and shift. The saddest thing would be if we didn't ever get sad, so it's fun being sad, and it's sad having fun, because it will end.

Today's nawal teaches us about spectrum, variance, and how intelligence is knowing to modulate between the fluctuations of the polarity swing. Every stance has a complete opposing one, every personality, every idea—nothing escapes a swing of polarity, nothing is ever fixed nor still. Except our minds, that can crystallize and lose flexibility. As they do, we are genuinely trapped in a physical prison. This happens not by chance, but by recipe. Most of what is given in this modern world—to eat, take, wear, and smell; and to think, know, experience, and entertain ourselves—is programmed to fix us, and as we do, we lose modulation.

To break the recipe, we have to move like the serpent—undulating, unapologetic, and impossible to pin down. The system wants you rigid because a rigid thing is easy to categorize, price, and discard. But a sexy, modulating spirit is a moving target. It knows when to strike with heat and when to retreat into the cold, dark silence of the earth. Don't let them fossilize your soul; stay fluid, stay dangerous, and keep shifting until the walls of the prison can no longer find your grip.

¡Aloha!
