Your story
Some people are satisfied with watching their life unfold in front of their eyes as if they are watching a play. Others may want more, they want at least an explanation of what has happened or why, if, changing the story is not possible. Enquiry is a crucial ingredient for the expansion of the consciousness, and today the nahual will invite us to enquire about our own life, seek explanations and create a new timeline for us from the answers.
This will happen at night, for the day will be filled with bright illusions. This daylight is the illusion of accepting everything that is and releasing the need to know. In the darkness we face what we fear and what we want, and in the search of fulfilling that, is that enquiry to the story happens. You see, if we wake up and ask a why or a what to a story, we will see that the most of the creation stories that we take for granted, most of the stories that shape our lives, are unfinished, unexplained stories filled with mysteries.
We might think that's how they are meant to be, but I will be daring enough to create a new timeline here and state that they are not, they are just a setting created for you to continue the story. The mystery happens so that we ask questions, not just swallow it as unexplainable magic. I invite you to jump into that timeline and begin asking. As the answers are found, as explanations are given, the story fulfills.

Blaming the past is condemning the present.
Our nature is to have fun and get lost doing it, falling into illusion -maya- for the Hindus, and -najt- time and space, for the Maya. We are playing in a land of certain lineal congruence that is made by our minds, trying to make sense of this life and experience. Without guidance, contact with the path of legacies, structures that can lift us to see the stars, we are doomed by the caves and the bats, scared by the shadows we cast, because looking at the light appears to be more blinding.
This time and space nawal however, comes with the light of its keeper, and that's what you are here for, some connection with the legacy. Breathing life into a code that by itself would be dead and spell the same, B'aatz is not here to trick you this time, but illuminate you with great power and wisdom. He wishes you to know and pay special attention as to how you treat time, and especially the past. Looking at it from the perspective of a present where we are breathing life into (I hope you are, on an animist path) the past will always seem wrong, we always fall short, we never stop making mistakes, luck is never 100 % on our side, we are never what we strive so hardly to be. If your animism goes this far but not farther, you are stuck, for this will create depression, and the cure for that is entertainment, distraction: diving into the pool of those feelings. When we give up trying to be better, we can enjoy being mean. This really works, it's what has created this dystopia we are currently experiencing.
But if your animism does go beyond, then you will not want to dive in that pool and become a real badass. Your spirit is still alive and it still wants to infuse you and all with something better: love. We can see now the two types of love here, the love for doing: entertainment, pleasure, and the love of striving to be better, of doing what is better instead of what is pleasurable. Munayki for the andeans is this art of lovingly doing what needs to be done, and it normally can involve cold, hunger, thirst, making strength, growing, letting go. The magic lies in the perception, and from perceptions spawns feeling. If you can actually tell that past you are seeing is just what you are telling yourself you are seeing, and that your past can be lived again and reinterpreted completely different, then you might just shift your feeling and feel different. It's very hard, because it goes against the apparent congruence of lineal reality. This is the invitation though, here lies the key to feeling different, very different. Find this thread and change your present and future forever, for good.

All limits, ideologies, principles, and cosmologies are eventually dissolved by time. The present moment is like no other; it cannot be measured against the past, nor can it be forecasted. We stand here, represented by today’s nawal, at a point in cosmic history where we truly do not know what is about to happen. Every forecast points toward a drain—a collapsing civilization, a dying planet. Yet, that is not what lives in our hearts, it is not what we desire, and it is not the ultimate story of a living cosmos.
This same magic manifests on a personal level. There are critical moments when even our hard-won authority is washed away because there is simply no place for it. We find ourselves in a space where there is no "right relation," no normalcy, no stable present. We are living in a time where everything is critical, where seeking peace is futile because peace, in its traditional sense, is not here. We are being asked to push through every limit, every expectation, and every principle to emerge on the other side—where the only thing that shapes reality is love, and nothing else.
Today reminds us that time operates in this magical manner: there is always room for surprise. What is to come can never be fully predicted. The obsidian mirror is black; you cannot see through it. Within its depths, one can only speculate on the shifting clouds and pronounce words—words that are like smoke, carrying everyone who breathes them into the trip.
Wukub B'aatz is the thread of the artisan, but also the void from which all creation springs. It reminds us that when the forecast of the mind fails, the magic of the spirit begins. The collapse of the old world is not the end of the story; it is the clearing of the loom for a new weave.
To inhabit this magic is to embrace the uncertainty of the obsidian mirror. If you try to force the future into a familiar shape, you will only find fear. But if you accept that the current smoke is part of the transformation, you can stop fighting the chaos and start dreaming the new reality into being. Sovereignty in this era means having the courage to stand in the unknown and realize that when everything else dissolves, only the frequency of love remains as a solid foundation. Do not fear the dark mirror—it is simply waiting for you to speak the world you wish to see.
