It's what there is
In our imagination, the world is vast and unlimited. We imagine our lives and our plans, what it was and could have been. We are told wonderful stories of how deep the foundations of the pyramids go, as in feats unfeasible to us and invisible on the surface. We imagine ourselves doing our work, preparing to perform; we get ready for the lights, the show and then, today, we are there. We realize it wasn't quite what we imagined, sometimes better sometimes worse, but never as vast. The world is that, this, small, beautiful, and in our hands. Not endless, walkable, climbable, reachable. Our lives, our show, just a show, performable, within our reach, in our hands.

Not being able to take my own advice of saving energy for the next day on the B'aatz day, I experienced and shared how the Kanib Ee sign went for me, where I apophatically proved my own prophecy right. Similar thing happened 260 days before that, it can be observed by the shortness of the reading for that day. This experience asks the questions that today's nawal comes to answer, to teach about. Time is energy and energy is time.
Something we take for granted, the premised axioms, the scale of space, the scale of time, are not fixed; we shouldn't take them for granted. The more we enter knowledge, the more we must recognize the mystery. All we know about time is how we measure it and experience it. We measure it today by the oscillations of quartz crystals, in our watches, and we experience it by the rotations of our planet on its own axis and the movements of our solar system. We are measuring time by measuring the changes in the energy of a specific medium, in most cases quartz. Biology alike has its own clocks, which are determined by the changes in energy in the microbiological level and regulated by our perception of the passing of planetary time. Outside of this there is no objective measure of time, just like nothing really, not even language, is really objective.
Today's nawal wants to elevate us to the power of knowing the secret that this measurement is not fixed, there is no fixed universal scale (or is there?) that everything else must shape itself around. Everything "material" and even light, is oscillating and these oscillations -being that they repeat on regular intervals- those intervals can be measured and from that we get the scale of time. But what if the energy changes? As you will observe from the passage of time, its passage is scaled by the amount of energy you have. How we perceive time is the only objective passing of time. As you walk the path and elevate yourself into the creator-creative wisdom, the external "fixation" of reality becomes an internal "potential" of how reality manifests.
Saving energy then is creating time, expanding the scale of the universe. This is why Toltec practitioners focused their work so much in this practice, finding ways to not lose energy. At a glance we miss their point, why would you want to save energy? for when? for what? Turns out, the more energy you have, the more time you have, the more expansive your cosmos is. This explains the effort invested in keeping humanity from it's potential energy and power, this is the way to keep them in the corral. No matter how strong the wall is, if the sheep had all their energy, they would break free, as we are elohim, creators of our and the reality.

As the Tooj trecena reveals, everything exists in dynamic relation to something else; absolute isolation is an illusion. Every entity serves another, and many of these governing forces are subtle, inorganic presences operating behind the veil of the physical world. Today teaches that we are constantly in relationship with—and in service to—these underlying currents. If you remain oblivious to this dynamic, it is likely because the current you serve keeps your awareness clouded. Whether acting as forces of light or shadow, catalytic presences operate from different angles, yet in the cosmic architecture, they ultimately drive the same engine of spiritual evolution.
Walking the human path by your own will—rather than being passively steered by external masters—is an exhilarating pursuit. You never know what landscape will emerge beyond the next bend. However, becoming entranced solely by the scenery and drifting without clear direction, while momentarily thrilling, invites serious peril. Seductive traps line the road, waiting to lure distracted wanderers down secondary trails that empty into hollow, consumptive dead ends.
Walking with unshakeable direction keeps you anchored to the main path. It allows you to recognize that a sudden curve around a deep canyon is not an exile, but a necessary detour that inevitably loops back toward your true destination. Having a definitive direction is non-negotiable, and today calls for an uncompromising audit of where your compass points. An external guide or map is insufficient unless you hold an immovable inner resolve. The internal compass you follow reveals the true master you serve—and within a hollowed-out modern civilization, many unconsciously serve the very parasitic structures designed to keep them docile.
It takes rigorous discipline and inner clearing to purge yourself of deceptive internal programming. The sharper your intentional direction, the closer you anchor yourself to the primordial source rather than to secondary manipulators. Modern ambition rushes toward synthetic mirages: ecological severance, hyper-control, and spiritual stagnation. The authentic destination has always been anchored here: living earth, balance, regenerative harmony, and conscious evolution. Let today's nawal reveal your true heading and make that clear direction the unshakeable backbone of everything you do.
Aj (Lord) represents the sacred reed, the vertical axis, the home, community foundations, inner fortitude, spiritual lineage, and the backbone of moral conduct. Aj is the nawal of upright character, family continuity, leadership rooted in ancestral traditions, and the strength that bends without breaking. Paired with the dynamic, mobilizing frequency of the Number 5—the energy of the five fingers, purposeful work, physical agency, friction, and the vital effort required to direct energy—this sign demands that you actively align your actions with an unyielding core of integrity.
To embody 5 Aj is to stand as an unbroken vertical pillar, anchoring your direction in the sacred relationship between earth and sky. Occupying the fifth position of the Tooj trecena, this energy asks you to examine the unseen forces influencing your decisions and realign your inner compass. Refuse to be lured into hollow distractions or systemic servitude. Stand straight, reinforce your spiritual spine, and steer your journey firmly toward true life, harmony, and purposeful evolution.
Direction.
