Non-cutting

We might have been persuaded yesterday, to make something right, cutting something away. It was necessary to keep the balance, to stay healthy. But this thing you cut away yo did it in a way that you didn't cut it all away, it was more like you fixed it without cutting it away. The energy of today may want you to put things in order and to do so you will feel the need to cut something. You will discover the richness of not doing it like that, of putting things in their place instead of putting them away.

Back home.

Being part of the snake is, coming back to your burrow. Out and about we go chasing down what we are hungry for. No shame in that. Snake relies on many things that go unnoticed, and one is the reliability, or non reliability, of their home. Snake knows this and amongst the hunger for, is the hunger for a real home, the better one, the good hunting place. Yet not every day is a good one, and if snake wants that home is because it ain't there yet. Our loved ones, our places where we have lived, or born in; the places that know us, are there for us, and come to our assistance when we need it. Today is a day to celebrate that, to be with them, to go back, call back if you are not there, visit and celebrate. Honor and rely on the basic structures that support you, the ones that are there, with you, in the now. Doesn't matter how little, how crumbly or temporary it may be, it's what you've got. It's what will support you like nothing else, so that you may be where you want to be. Sure it's not enough, it's not yo mamma feeding ya, it's just your burrow. And yes maybe yo mamma is in it an might fix you some quesadillas, but you're out there chasing the meat.

As you do this honoring, as you do with these readings, you will find that they will germinate. Make sure you finish and deliver something significant today, all the while you make it a great party. If it shows up, make that deal. If not, the deal is with your home, with your make, with your kind, with your craft. Saturday, sabbath of the dominant calendars, and new moon will qualify this as a magical four seed entry.

The seed.

Whether you are a man or a woman, there is an organ within you that functions like an egg, whose fundamental purpose is to procreate your being, cast your seed, and reproduce. This organ, and the seed it carries, is like an energetic body woven into the divergent directions of dimension and time, spirit and matter. This means that, to a great extent, you are here on this earth to reproduce; it is a vital part of your mission, your purpose, and therefore, your spirit. Through today’s nawal, we connect to this spirit, this organ, this seed, and the profound meanings this unique combination represents.

There is another concept—seemingly unrelated, but deeply tied to this nawal—which I call your budget. Your budget is the total amount of energy that has been "allocated" to you for this lifetime. It is not strictly physical, for the body—though limited—is an entity of contraction and release; the energy available and the span of its life depend on many factors that a fixed budget could not contain. This fixed budget comes from outside the "snakes of biology"; it is the total amount of tonal allocated to your spirit as a whole. This budget is granted so that you may produce or reproduce something with it. It is what gets you up in the morning. It is not merely a matter of flesh-and-blood kin, but the many "sons and daughters" of your creation—the legacy you are meant to leave in this world.

Today is an excellent day to find your center and connect to the four directions and dimensions to which your seed and budget extend. It serves as a reminder of the limits of life, energy, and time. Everything we do—or fail to do—becomes part of that seed. Every day and every moment spent is a memory left behind, and from those memories, new plants will grow.

The Seed (Q’aniil) reminds us that we are all pregnant with potential. However, the "budget" reminds us that we are not infinite in this form. We often spend our life force as if the well will never run dry, throwing our seeds into barren soil or wasting our tonal on distractions that yield no harvest. To honor this nawal is to audit your energetic accounts. If your "budget" is the fuel for your purpose, are you spending it on creations that will outlast you, or are you leaking it into the void? Your seed is your contribution to the cosmic tapestry. Whether you are birthing children, art, ideas, or a new way of being, ensure that you are planting with intention. In the economy of the spirit, the only way to "keep" your energy is to give it away to something beautiful.
