End of summer
Se akatl topiltzin was enlightened and powerful, him and all the avatars brought about a powerful message. They failed in having the message be properly understood and thoroughly practiced. They failed in bringing the kingdom of love back to the people under the dark shadow. Their life, as our last thirteen days, where a joyful end of summer. In the northern hemisphere, today, GC 24th of October 2024, we have the last days of warmth, where we can still drink cold beer and spill energy.
Tomorrow we enter the death trecena. Today's nawal advices us to get ready for a renewal, renovation, rebirth and return. We get ready as well in the northern hemisphere tropics to enter the colder season, where we can no longer waste energy. We get ready for preservation, saving, introspection, rest, and the coming of the ancient spirits. Go out, feast, drink, live your last day of summer well. Be the young snake that thinks of himself and has the spirit to enchant others with its energy. Tomorrow this will seem foolish, premature, we will return to the next stage in our process.

Se akatl topiltzin's path was not of utter success. Like him we are to find out that choosing the right way brings about blessings, but beyond it stirs the dark from where great attacks on the righteous walker spawn. Honor was pivotal in ancestral Mesoamerican cultures. The west, the modern, the overworld trans culture is based on the opposite, it spawned from the lack of it. For this reason honor might seem like a foreign concept, we misconceive it. We associate it with prestige and self-righteousness, entitlement and personal gain, when it's more about honoring. Honoring is allowing yourself to enter a state of awareness about the intangible value that something, someone and everything has, every single moment, everyone and everywhere. It's the sun that shines on the underground snake, who acts only for its own gain and does not understand anything beyond immediate fetching. From our domesticated mind we act like this, like predators, without stopping and honoring everything that is happening, and everyone that is here. We act and react without going through consciousness and memory, without an aware conception of how honorable what is happening is and how to act honorably, reciprocally to that. The modern successful man/woman archetype is that of someone that feels entitled and that shows no respect.
Today we might get a strong lesson about that. The righteous way is a humbling experience. If today you experience something terrible, a loss, a death, or something very humbling, then you are honoring time, you are in tune. Self-sacrifice is that, allowing to purge excess snake, blood, energy, attitude of competence and offering it so that we make space for a greater understanding. Unlike the modern teaching that teaches us to despise the violence, the conflict, the problems and disease, the ancient way invites us to honor it, respect it, it's here for a reason and it has something to teach you. When we are able to walk with true honor, then we are ready to descend into the land of the dead, where all the wisdom is found.
