The silence of balance

Woke up to a noisy day and learned to feel quiet surrounded by noise. Emotional balance requires us to, instead of copying and replicating a behavior, doing the opposite to balancing out the emotion. It's how we feel we are doing what's fair. If someone comes in sad to speak to us, we will try to cheer them up. If someone bursts and jumps out of joy, we will share that joy but stay calm ourselves. Balancing our emotions is what we as fair, just judges do. But judges nonetheless. There is something about communication that quite doesn't work with this, it's all just noise.

Exorcism

We think of negative entities, bad spirits, demons and the likes as something external, and sorcery, ritualism and spiritual practices can sometimes support this idea of the external presence. We light candles and smoke bundles, call out prayers and clean the space and the room, as if the negative entity was in the room, outside of us. The rituality helps, but what doesn't is our understanding, or lack of. Today's nawal would like to teach about this, pointing out with clarity the fact that the source of negative and positive energies and spirits is the mind, and that the portal to the mind lies within us. The smoke surely helps, and it can certainly modify the state of the room and of the earth even. But the true residence of that evil spirit is within us, and guess what allows it to exist: emotions.

The fertile soil for entities to thrive in is emotions, especially negative, buried emotions. Outside support can help release the negative energies, but these will continue to sprout as long as the fertile soil remains there. Diving deeper, this emotional soil becomes stuck in us because we identify with it, it becomes our identity, we believe that's the earth we are and are afraid to clean that, empty it, let it go. If we really want to get rid of negativity and negative spirits, then we should look into serious psychological healing, emotional release, paradigm shift and the likes, which are done not by rituality and magic, but by simply and sincerely wanting to and taking the time and effort to do it.

Today's nawal may open the gate to many more other secrets. Time for example, is not a measure nor can it be measured. What we perceive of it, is what it will be. What's your revelation for today?

Accord

We get lost sometimes in the vast expanse of a chaotic, diverse cosmos filled with energies, entities, and thoughts. We struggle to find solid ground—something to grasp, something we can agree upon to create congruence and community. This solidity is necessary; so much so that we are trapped by a complex web of contracts, laws, and agreements designed to serve those with the knowledge and power to set them in motion. We were tricked into thinking that merely voting, signing, or doing nothing at all was enough to grant our approval.

Amidst the chaotic storm appears the most complete, solid, and helpful of all the dogs: the twelve dog. Clear-sighted, strong, and the most grounded of all the nawals, he is here today to talk to us about agreements, contracts, and accords. These are the assemblage points for anything we wish to weave together and make sense of. This would be easy if we weren’t already entangled in a myriad of pre-established agreements. Interacting with this world forces us to blindly agree with them just to fit in, to comply, to function, and to be "allowed" to exist.

Today’s nawal invites us to revise these agreements as they surface. It is an invitation to invest time in meditations and gatherings where we analyze them and consciously ask: Do I truly agree with this? This is the long rabbit hole toward liberation. It may seem purely ideological, but it is metaphysical—and therefore, spiritual. As long as you refuse to challenge the agreements you subconsciously follow, you are energetically bound to them. Clarity is not a spark that simply manifests; it is earned. Dare to look at how the cosmos weaves itself through constant agreement. At any given time, you are agreeing with yourself on what is real and what you think. There is no objective reality—only the agreement we accord on what it is.

Breaking a contract is an act of war, but revising one is an act of sovereignty. The twelve dog doesn't ask you to bark at the moon; he asks you to guard the gate of your own mind. If you didn't write the rules you are living by, you aren't living—you're being processed. Start withdrawing your consent from the lies that keep you small, and watch how quickly the "solid" walls of your prison begin to thin. Only amidst the storm, when everything is being scrambled, can we disengage enough to find what we must truly agree with.

¡Aloha!
