Emptiness
One very interesting aspect about the life, world, time, pacha we live in, is how incredibly empty it is. Of course it's a perspective, but let's explore it. If we use science, we certainly get this view. The space between the atoms and between the planets, is far greater than the mass that composes them. We literally live in a cosmos made up of mostly empty space. Leaving the scientific worldview apart, if we visit the Andean worldviews, we will also be strongly taught about the amuki, the silence. The apparent emptiness of matter and life is filled with spirit. This spirit is like a sound, like a language, and even if it's filled with it, this spirit is to a very large extent very quiet, silent. Andeans are taught to quiet their minds and listen to the silence of the pacha. When we are new to this, we feel empty, and getting used to this emptiness is crucial to balance our energies to the energy of the pacha we live in. If we don't practice this, our minds will be driven to get filled with noises, spirits, voices, entities, and we will grow to get used to them and even have them take over our minds. They will place their thoughts in us and we will think they are our own.
The time we are living right now is the toughest time to achieve this. Almost if like they know it, the military system creates noise and pollution like none before, so that we won't listen to the true spirit of the earth, which is much quieter. We will have to get away from antennas, computers and so many other noise-producing artifacts if we are to reach balance, on an individual and communitarian level. We cannot force spirit to be filled with artificial noise, we must come down ourselves to the tolerance of this silence. This is the source of anxiety, and from here, all the problems in the world and in our health stem out of.
While we are still here and prepare to build a life where we can get farther away from the noise, there is much we can do, working in ourselves, with our spirit and our mind, with how we organize and handle time, so that we can practice to tolerate silence and emptiness. It's through this practice that we will learn to listen, and by listening, to understand, and through understanding, heal.
