True ego.

Life is inherently selfish. Mother earth created a whole expansive and infinite cosmos full of stars and galaxies, so that she could nest in it to breed life. All the planets, sizes, distances, elements, got together miraculously to provide the balance and needs for what we experience and know as being alive.

Dark shadows may sometimes trap us into believing that we are doing something because we are selfless, thinking of others, without personal interest. This idea can never work, and it may dangerously be the wrong kind of selflessness. This is the false ego that is used by the demiurge religion to make us believe in actions that only perpetrate suffering. Thinking of our own wellbeing, of our own desires, chasing our dreams and highest aspirations and seeking them with ambition, including others and in the consciousness that everything is alive and participating, is the way to go.

Life can only be seen when it is shone by light, and that creates shadows, which are the lines that give contrast and definition. Without the darkness, there is no light. Dare to define yourself, shine and cast shadows. Today the sun will shine in the midst of a fleeting storm season. Summer is coming.
