Can't tell

There are so many things we wish we could share with others, but we can't, otherwise we ruin it. Either they won't understand us or we are unable to take them through the proper context; either way telling them results in ruining things we don't want ruined. Same goes for magic where sometimes a powerful thing comes through a cheap trick, and we wish to reveal that but if we do we screw up the magic. Seriously, some teachings are so easy, but telling students doesn't help, they need to come to the discovery themselves. The quest for power goes dark because of the enemy of power, the idea that you are so much more because you have it, self importance, money too, they all lead to black magic, the feeling that I'm better because I know or I have more. This shadow kills the tender bright plant growing from our hearts, our ego gets in the way of the light reaching ourselves. In this darkness we step on spines, and we grow attached to the darkness, the spine, the pain and everything that comes with it, confusing it with the power that we acquire, which is only really our ego casting a shadow on the light outside. The power might be there, the knowledge, the wisdom, sure you might feel like a powerful magician or shaman or mason or whatever, but your pain is growing and the magic with it.

Here we get to the black magicians and the bad witches. There are plenty of them. They grow demons in themselves that speak to them through the mirror. They tell them that they should keep quiet, that no one will understand, that they will think they are crazy if they tell. Victims to this darkness fed by pain, they safeguard it, normally it's associated with an established religion, which is the power of evil in itself. The energy that feeds this darkness is simply accumulated pain, not letting go, becoming attached to the entity that makes you suffer, co-dependency. It gives you power though, and a lot, in exchange for your soul being unable to continue its path towards the bright sun.

There are good and bad uses for the can't tell. Some things we need to keep to ourselves, for others, we should seek help. Today is telling, as is the nature of the K'at, always getting in trouble for not keeping quiet. I'x, the complimentary sign, is the one for not telling. Today we are telling not to tell. How confusing.

Killing the spiders.

The house, the structure, where we are coming from, is an intimate part of our psyche. We wouldn't think so from a normal worldview—void of the chol qu'ij—but knowing the nawals means knowing life, and if you understand Kalli, you understand that your house hosts great part of what your spirit is. Taking care of the house is taking care of oneself. Living and inhabiting the house, means having a kitchen, cooking, feeding your body, your energy, your spirit, your life, so you can live. Sleeping and even taking a piss, you do it all in your house. Your house is the extension of you, and without a house, there probably wouldn't be a you.

Living in a humid tropical climate teaches you some lessons about what taking care of a house means. One of the dozens of examples of how it's more demanding on housekeeping are spiders and spiderwebs. They come in all sizes, in all quantities and inhabit all possible spaces you could imagine, including flour. Cleaning the house means getting rid of the spider webs, and with experience you learn that this does not come easy if you let all the spiders live. They reproduce exponentially and it just becomes impossible to let them all live, it's you or them.

This though, doesn't come into consciousness by many people, specially those that sooner or later delegate the cleaning to someone else. For them it is easier to "be more spiritual" and not kill any spiders. Not that they don't ever clean. When they do, they remove the webs, but let the spiders live. I'm not talking about the big scary ones, those they probably ask "a man" or, again, someone else, to take it out, as it is more humane and again "spiritual".

This is a tiny symbolic example of many that I find of how we, or others, can get trapped by a supposed "spirituality", because it seems to me, it would be more human to not delegate the undesired and in this case "inhumane" task of "killing other beings" to someone else. But that's exactly how it works. Our fears, displeasures, identities and limitations are put as a front to exclude ourselves from a real holistic participation in the community. Everything in the modern world reinforces this, and it does so in survival mode. We don't have the time to be a community and take care, we have to get to work.

Down the road this doesn't quite work and so welcome to the final party of the merry die round. Other species first, humans are not missing out, the inhuman ones have imposed their systems so that we are all, want it or not, playing Russian roulette. The game is kind of aimed so that the stupidest ones die first. Most resources are invested in industries that do nothing more that provide effective death: military, pharmaceutical and oil are some main examples. That's what moves the machines, what makes the jobs. Being a government teacher or therapist does not exempt you from it, it is all part of the machinery. Again, almost no one does the killing, today drones are doing a hell of a good job at it. Soon the spiderwebs will also be removed by a bot too, not because we are "human" and wish no one to do so unpleasant things, but because you will soon not be able to afford a "human" to come do it.

While we get our stuff together, many are stumbling onto the spiders that are running from those who don't want to kill them. Keeping this attitude up means betting on the universal income side of the gun barrel. Shots are fired everywhere and there is no escaping this party.

Blessed by its leader spirit, today's K'at grants us the chance to become more clear in things and find some fruitful order. Opportunities show and things seem to fall where they must. Wind again is knowledge and having it changes something that can hurt you into something that can feed you.

¡Aloha!
