The title for Newton’s “laws” of physics begins with the word Philosophy, showing that what we think is a solid unbreakable law, is simply an observation of something we can only describe and wonder about. Much in the same way are the nawals here described and observed in this exercise of daily short readings and thirteen day count long readings. With every nawal we must attempt to find its loving description, its loving knowing – philosophy – of the universe that it shapes, of the law it passes, of the principles it draws and weaves within the fabric of the cosmos.
In a very magical way I feel with many nawals that as I attempt to describe what is supposed to be a day or a cycle of thirteen days, I’m in fact describing the era we are living in, the times we are currently experiencing. The best fit to describe this era with a nawal would be the process of the Kawoq coming to the Ajpuu—though it’s hard to tell if we will ever really come out of the storm and into the sun. Whilst many if not most believe that we are in a time of progress and advancement, they couldn’t be further away from the truth.
Finding the truth in an era when power is no longer aligned with what is true, on the contrary, it exists as the opposition to life, to common law and common sense, may seem either pointless or on the contrary, triggering of a domino effect of a re-love-ution back to balance and to a living, thriving human life. Intellectual aberrations abound as structural strongholds of the weak minded, necessary to keep the minds aligned, and with them the system of human nihilation. Confronting and deconstructing these aberrations are not a means to keep peace at bay, there is no way to align with them and build together something. We cannot include what is wrong in the diversity of ideas of what is right; we cannot be inclusive of they who is not inclusive, of they who built his existence from the demise of others.
Pointing out the conflict is not for the purpose of keeping it, but rather to solve and get past it. This is a dynamic encounter described in the very physics of an living, animist nawal like the kawoq. As with the times, the first invitation is to harness its power and energy instead of fearing it. Here you will know if your are going wrong, if you are approaching these starting thirteen days with caution and fear, or with thrill and excitement, allowing yourself to unbind, come loose and let go, enter the loud party.
These are secrets kept for the very few, because when misunderstood, they can destroy from the inside. As a bearer of the new fire I must spell however that this doesn’t matter anymore, either you grow to withstand a greater power, leaning into what seems like harms way, or you perish or suffer trying to keep a deprecated level. Harnessing this power will mean knowing how to balance two things. On one side you must learn to not feed the negative wolves, giving your attention, money and vote to those actors managing the destruction of you and your loved ones. On the other hand you must know, be charged, informed and ready to confront and dismantle the negative wolves when they appear in your path. You must stop allowing them to feed from you and stand up to them even if that means creating temporary conflict and apparent aggression. There is no way around this and you can only choose between being the solution or part of the problem.
We are showered constantly with repeating waves of brainwashed intellectuality or guruist spirituality that says there is a third way, that we can live in a solipsist peaceful non-confronting, non-intervening state of some-kind-of superiority. The truth that holds is that there are better ways to act that are sometimes not physical, that changes in behavior, mindset and ways of living have a cascading effect, that withdrawing your attention from that which creates the harm sometimes takes its power away, but these partial truths are treated as integral ideologies that only are masking a continuation of the same, an avoidance to our non-chosen paradigm of colonialist consumerism that to not see we mask as intellectual or spiritual superiority. With the sickest tyranny we choose to withdraw ourselves and not participating in fixing the mess.
Meanwhile we remain afraid of the dirt, afraid of the dark, lazy and unwilling to evolve and revolve against that which hurts us and others. This is not a judgment, this is the inertia of the Kawoq. In a way we are lazy because we can do better, but in the other we are not lazy, we are simply dragged by the inertia of what is and is out there. This sign is feared like no other because it holds this power of spell, this magic, to keep us stuck, bound to what has been initiated and stuck with that no matter how much we try to steer away. It’s the unavoidable falling down of what has been shot up. It is the stirring soup of everyone’s deeds, stirring together and trying to find some type of wicked outcome. It’s coming is the never-ending tune, yet we are there, that is it, we are now in the rain, the harvest of what had to fall.
Chasing the light we dive deeper in the darkness, it is not “in spirit” where we must fix our do, it’s in the way we live here on earth, spitting out plastic, radioactive waste, wars and extermination at the fastest possible speed. We are again, stuck in this inertia, in this darkness, and as a solution we may wrongly choose to draw to our insides and to the ever-shrinking pieces of life and happiness that remain. Love, life and common sense must grow, expand and eventually turn things around. Belief here is where we choose to participate or not in pushing the other way, the way back to life, to planet living. The only impossibility lies in our heads and that is the spell that keeps us from gaining back our entelechy. Kawoq in a way represents the necessary evil in this world, that is evil until it is healed, and that my friends is what the kawoq must do, as a person associated in some kind of way, heal that. And us all as Aj Qu’ij, we must too be the kawoqs that choose to push the other way, by looking evil on the face and knowing which way to go. Facing the dark is where we will recover our sensitivity to see the softer light, which then fades further away, giving us greater scope, more space.
When we remain light blind we associate inertia with certainty and we effectively cancel out any opposing force to that inertia, which in this case would be our willingness and ability to unknow ourselves away from the existential trouble we are really in. Staying light bling is not being willing to go out in the dark to explore the lesser known, the undone and the unpredictable. Only going that way will you find those pushing too the other way and so comes the certainty to create a new community. Only in coming together there is a future, for us. The inertia is both ways. A force drags us back and another one pushes forward, and guess what, I’m pushing forward.
In a supposed new community, conformity or engagement, we should all not just have a “vote” in some pre-fabricated decision against another. That turns out most of the time as a choice from two very bad options. This keeps the worse in power. The worse in power today means removing the living from the land, making the land effectively life-less, let alone lawless. Here comes the wolf that doesn’t want to play nice anymore. You can harvest these words, or discard them as we are sadly forced to do.
